Dentures Q & A

What denture options are available?

Dr. Flynn at Dental After Hours offers a variety of all-in-one treatment options for men and women of all ages.

From the initial consultation to the first denture fitting, or denture repairs and denture relining, you'll enjoy only the highest quality materials and service. Your denture options include:

  • Metal framework partial dentures
  • Acrylic partial dentures
  • Dental implants and crowns
  • Denture relines
  • Soft denture liners
  • Implant-supported dentures

At Dental After Hours, all dentures are constructed in-house by licensed denturists. You can see your dentures throughout the process, which is a significant advantage. Along the way, your denturist can modify the fit and make changes to ensure your final smile is one you adore.

Should I get immediate dentures?

If you're in need of full dentures because you've lost your teeth due to decay, illness, or injury, you could be a perfect candidate for immediate dentures. Immediate dentures offer you the benefit and convenience of never having to be without teeth.

Be aware, though, that as your mouth heals from the loss of your natural teeth and immediate denture inserts, your dentures require relining to ensure the most comfortable and accurate fit over time.

Are partial dentures a better choice for me?

The most common type of partial dentures has a metal framework. If you're a well-suited candidate, the dentist or denturist takes measurements of your jaw and makes models of your mouth so they can construct your new dentures in their lab as efficiently as possible. No dental adhesives are required. The metal frame anchors to existing natural teeth to keep the dentures in place.

Acrylic partial dentures are less expensive than metal ones but don’t last as long. Acrylic partials are usually a short-term solution that's worn while the dentist makes permanent bridges or partials.

Can my dentures be repaired?

Dental After Hours can repair full or partial custom dentures while you wait or in a few hours, depending on the repairs needed. They can repair your existing or custom set of dentures on-site.

Dr. Flynn at Dental After Hours is here to answer your questions and restore your smile. To learn more about dentures, call the office or schedule an appointment online.
